lower house of parliament, the National Assembly, Pakistan is going to choose the PM at a session to be organised on Friday. Makhdoom Shahabuddin Minister for Textiles and Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar Minister for Water and Power tend to be powerful candidates.
Khursheed Shah( Religious Affairs Minister) , informed press the parliament session would start Friday at 5.30 p.m., and nomination documents will be placed Thursday, Geo News recorded.
Previously, it had been noted that PPP leaders have selected Shahabuddin for the post.
Sources informed Geo News the verdict was taken at a meet of party leaders arranged late Tuesday headed by Asif Ali Zardari.
alough, the final decision regarding the post will be released after a PPP parliamentary party meet later Wednesday.
Shahabuddin elected from Rahim Yar Khan while Mukhtar elected from Gujrat constituency - both in Punjab state. Mukhtar was previously the defence minister.
However, Gilani stated reservations over the selection of Shahabuddin throughout the meet of coalition partners, who trusted Zardari to nominate the PM.

1. Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar (Minister for Water and Power )
2. Shahabuddin. Mukhtar was formerly the defence minister.
Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur had been Suggestted at the PPP meet.
Dawn News reported Zardari suggested three names
1. Mukhtar, Shahabuddin
2. Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar
3. Religious Affairs Minister Khursheed Shah
However PML-Q had reservations for the nomitaion of Mukhtar.
