Olympic gymnastics: Berki slays Brits for pommel horse gold

Double World Champion Krisztian Berki kept his cool under immense pressure to beat two British gymnasts to the Olympic gold in the men’s pommel horse here Sunday.

The Hungarian scored 16.066, the same as Briton Louis Smith, but exceptional single-leg work elevated him to gold due to better execution. Smith’s countryman Max Whitlock claimed bronze with 15.600.
