The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken lead in the municipal corporation polls in UP on this Saturday, succeeding in 8 major corporations of the 12 which went to polls after the numbering of ballots had been finished among tight security on a rainy day.
The party, that carried out miserably in the course of the latest state assembly elections, performed back and do well in other corporations as well, with its applicants for corporators winning in large numbers.
