This can be the biggest discovery of this century after 40 years of research and 56 Thousand carores spending Physicists have discovered a new particle consistent with the long-sought Higgs boson, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) declared Wednesday.

As per  to CERN, 2 independent teams noticed a new particle in the mass region around 125-126 GeV  at the level of 5 sigma, Xinhua described.

A lot more research and cross-checks is going to be, however, required to identify the exact character of the particle, scientists mentioned.
