IBN7 News: Maria Sharapova is quiet when it comes to getting rid of the World No.1 place with defeat in the 4th round at Wimbledon,tennis celebrity mentioned.
Either Victoria Azarenka (No. 2) or world-third Agnieszka Radwanska can arise on topmost following the Wimbledon after Sharapova’s 4-6, 3-6 beat to Germany’s Sabine Lisicki finished her rule as No.1, that began previous month with win at the French Open.
Maria Sharapova statement:
“Obviously what I achieved a few weeks ago doesn’t just go away in a few minutes - I’ll have that for the rest of my career. But the tennis world keeps going,”
“Of course, you want to stay at the top as long as you can, but obviously everyone guns for that spot, as it is the top spot.”
