Rio de Janeiro designated World Heritage Site

IBN7 News: The panoramas of Rio de Janeiro have been included in the World Heritage List, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization reported.

The selection relating to the Brazilian place was taken by UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee at its 36th program in Russia’s 2nd biggest city.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff stated that the UNESCO status was a “reason for pride for all of Brazil” and an motivation to carry on with Rio’s “revitalization”.
